♔ THE JOY OF ST. JOSEPH AT THE BIRTH OF CHRIST ♔
Remember:
Every Wednesday is dedicated to St. Joseph. Let us honor St. Joseph and
contemplate his Joy at the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! May almighty
God be praised and glorified through His wonderful mysteries!
St.
Luke 2:4-7: And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of
Nazareth into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem:
because he was of the house and family of David, to be enrolled with Mary
his espoused wife, who was with child. And it came to pass, that when
they were there, her days were accomplished, that she should be
delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him up
in swaddling clothes…
Venerable Maria de Agreda: St. Joseph adored the newborn in profoundest
humility and with tears of joy he kissed his feet in admiration…
Pope Benedict XVI: On that holy night, in Bethlehem, with Mary and the
Child, is Joseph, to whom the Heavenly Father entrusted the daily care
of his Son on earth, a care carried out with humility and in silence.

✠ Hail Joseph Son of David, God is with you! blessed are you among men
and blessed is our Lord Jesus Christ! Holy Joseph, Guardian of the
Redeemer, pray for us and be with us now and as we sigh our last breath.
